Dr. Sanner is the Director of the UTHealth Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences (CCTS) Biobank, which is housed at the UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing. She has authored numerous journal and media articles on topics related to biological and behavior cardiovascular risk factors and genetic biobanking. She is currently conducting a study investigating the acceptability and feasibility of a meditation intervention in stroke survivors and their informal caregivers. Sanner received her BSN from Kent State University in Ohio and both her MSN and PhD degrees from UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing.
